Like Engel, Femoyer's crawlspace is full of asbestos. From the crawlspace door, there's a short flight of stairs down to a dirt floor. The ceiling is pretty low, and there are low pipes everywhere, so there's lots of crawling involved. Vents along the walls allow you to watch traffic (and pedestrians) go by. The most interesting thing in the crawlspace is a section of steam tunnel passing straight across from one wall to the other - the tunnel is obviously pretty old - Femoyer was built over top of it in 1949. The steam tunnel was inaccessible though. There was also some neat old trash down there.
