Hey ya'll... After six or so years in Blacksburg, and thirty trips into
Virginia Tech's steam tunnels, I finally decided that it was time to move
on. I've seen just about everything there is to see in Blacksburg.
So I moved to Charlottesville, a town with incredible exploration potential. This'll be the last entry in this log, but you'll be able to find pictures of cool Charlottesville stuff on the 'off-campus' page, located here. And you can still feel free to e-mail me with any question or stories you have about Tech's tunnels (or anything else cool in Blacksburg). -Tick- April 7, 2004

tunnel trip #30 - March '04
Woo Hoo! Thirty trips into the steam tunnels! I went back to the Shultz - power plant tunnels again, and explored further this time. I've covered all of this section of tunnel now, except for the section in the 'pit of hell'. I tried to crawl down it, but it was just too damn hot.

tunnel trip #29 - March '04
It's Tech's spring break, so I decided that now was the best opportunity
yet to explore the steam tunnels in the upper quad. I'm glad I waited
until campus was empty, because manhole covers are loud and hard to move.
It was fun though, I love exploring steam tunnels for the first time.

Radford - March '04
Checked out a couple of places that a friend had found in Radford - an
abandoned pumping station and and abandoned warehouse. We couldn't get
into the pumping station, but the ware house was pretty cool. Lots of old
junk. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures.
