I ran across a folder of 3-year-old photos from my first exploration with Random... enjoy!

VCC Drain

Good news! The VT Underground is now located in Roanoke!!!

Bad news... I haven't been in the Omega Drain - possibly the coolest storm drain in the state - in 2 1/2 years. Even though I can walk to it now.

Another new drain! Check out the Diesel Drain. I know the write-up isn't much, but hopefully the photos will make up for it.

Our most recent update is the Ukropolis Drain. HOPEFULLY I'll get around to exploring some new stuff soon, there are still one or two big drains left to explore here in the 'Noke.

I'm slowly going through this whole website, trying to correct typos, add a few new pictures, stuff like that. If you catch anything like that that could stand to be corrected, please let me know.

So I  discovered two new storm drains. "New" as in they were just recently constructed. One has been explored (see Mary's Drain), the other is still waiting to be explored. It's huge.... I can't wait to check it out.

The VT Underground mothership (AKA my apartment) has been without internet access for almost two months now, so updates will probably be far between from here on out... at least until I break down and pay for internet.

One more thing... If you explore storm drains, you really ought to buy the Apex headlamp, by Princeton Tec. It's a little pricey (I think I paid $65 for mine), but it's - without question - the best urban exploration headlamp out there. And if you do buy one, e-mail me and I'll tell you how to double the brightness!

Big news... after a brief tenure in Charlottesville, the VT Underground has moved back to Blacksburg!

This means more cool Virginia Tech updates, as well as all of the off-campus stuff that I never had time to explore when I was a student. And if you think that Blacksburg is all explored-out, think again. I've already found a "new" section of steam tunnel, several unexplored storm drains, and an abandoned iron mine near town. Many updates to come...

And in case anyone is interested in reading them, here are my archived exploration logs from my ol' college years:
